Dinger, the Home Run Dog |
The Myrtle Beach Sun News recently published a story about local mascots and featured Dinger the Home Run Dog from the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. “ Strand mascots add character” by Sun News writer Kim Hughes appeared in the Thursday, November 10, 2005, issue of the paper.
Dinger not only brings a basket of balls to the umpire during games, he inspires local kids to love books with Dinger’s Reading Club. The article talks about Dinger’s important roll in the Pelicans’ success in the community.
