Lighting Durham’s Lucky Strike Tower for First Time

WRAL Holiday Logo “Celebrate the Season” with the 46th Annual WRAL Tower Lighting!   In a special half-hour program, a holiday tradition will continue as WRAL turns its 300-ft. TV tower into a sparkling symbol of the season on Thursday, December 1, 2005, at 7pm

Adorned with thousands of colored lights and 5 stars, the “towering tree” can be seen for miles in the Capital City.  Hosts Debra Morgan, David Crabtree, and Greg Fishel will be joined by musical guests the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus and gospel singer Mary D. Williams on the plaza of the WRAL studios.

In addition, anchor Gerald Owens will be live in Durham at the American Tobacco Historic District for a special event when Mayor Bill Bell will light the water tower for the very first time.  The Durham event will showcase many of the area’s local talent as well.

Please tune in and “Celebrate the Season” with WRAL!
