Two more CBC’ers are on the path to becoming Leadership Triangle Alumni. WRAL-TV Anchor Debra Morgan and American Tobacco Sales Marketing & Events Manager Valerie Ward began the Will You Lead I Leadership Triangle Regional class on Monday, January 23, 2006.
The nine bi-weekly classes will take them and 21 other participants through a variety of community and regional issues. Presenters will include A.J. Fletcher Foundation President Barbara Goodmon, who will talk about “Human Services on the Run” with representatives from The Healing Place and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. The program also includes a Triangle bus tour about “The Economics of Our Region” and a panel discussion of the “Media’s Influence on Regionalism.”
CBC President and CEO Jim Goodmon will make a presentation early in the session as well. He is the current Chair of the Leadership Triangle Board of Directors.
Goodmon is joined on the Board with two other CBC’ers, WRAL-FM’s Karen Cates & FOX 50’s Chris Downey.
CBC is a major sponsor of Leadership Triangle along with the A.J. Fletcher Foundation. Other CBC divisions sponsoring Leadership Triangle include FOX 50, the American Tobacco Historic District and the Durham Bulls.
