Pelicans Introduce First-Ever Dog Owner’s Mini-Plan

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are making history by introducing a mini-plan ticket package like no other. This summer, dog owners will have the opportunity to bring their four-legged friends to five pre-selected Pelicans games for just $25. Dog owners that purchase the mini-plan, which has been dubbed “Dinger’s Bite Size Plan,” will receive a free chew toy courtesy of KONG Company.
“They say that dogs are a man’s best friend. With this mini-plan, fans will be able to bring their best friend to the ballpark five different times,” said Matt O’Brien, Pelicans General Manager.
Dinger “The Home Run Dog,” the Pelicans famed Yellow Labrador Retriever who runs the bases after each Pelicans victory and carries a basket of fresh baseballs to the umpires twice a game, will serve as the face of the unique mini-plan ticket package.
Coastal Federal Field will be a dog-friendly environment, for Dinger’s Bite Size Plan Holders only, on the following dates…
- Wednesday, April 19 at 7:02pm – Pelicans vs. Winston-Salem Warthogs
- Tuesday, May 9 at 7:02pm – Pelicans vs. Frederick Keys
- Friday, June 16 at 7:02pm – Pelicans vs. Kinston Indians
- Sunday, July 9 at 6:02pm – Pelicans vs. Wilmington Blue Rocks
- Wednesday, August 30 at 7:02pm – Pelicans vs. Potomac Nationals

Opening Day 2006 is set for Thursday, April 6th at 7:02pm when the Pelicans host the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The entire 2006 schedule has been released and is available online.
