National Powerhouses Collide at Coastal Federal Field |
Two top-10 college baseball teams highlight the 2006 Baseball at the Beach Tournament, which will begin Friday, February 24th at Coastal Federal Field, the home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. The three-day, round-robin tournament includes #3 Georgia Tech, #8 Tennessee, Virginia Commonwealth, and local favorite Coastal Carolina. Tickets are on sale now at the Pelicans box office or by calling 843-918-6000.
Day one of the 7th annual tournament features a rematch of the 2005 NCAA Super Regionals as the Ramblin’ Wreck of Georgia Tech battles the Tennessee Volunteers at 3:30 pm. The Vols defeated Georgia Tech to advance to College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Georgia Tech will be looking to exact some revenge at this year’s Baseball at the Beach Tournament.

Fans can purchase tickets for all six games of the weekend tournament for $25. Daily passes are also available for $10 per day of the tournament.
Tickets are available by calling 843-918-6000 or by stopping by the Pelicans box office at Coastal Federal Field, which is located on 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, just across the street from Broadway at the Beach.
