Melissa Gomez, a mom and clinic administrator from Fort Bragg, who’s currently studying psychology. Melissa served in the Army for seven years, where she was stationed in Washington, Texas and Korea. Taking after her musical father, she plays percussion instruments: timbale, congas, tambourine, and maracas. She loves to read, dance, and says her proudest moment was becoming the mother of her two children.

Gerard M. Williams, a leasing professional from Durham. Gerard studied at Boston’s Berklee college of Music, where he enjoyed diverse cultural and musical experiences. He says though he sings all types of music, you can hear the gospel influence in his voice. Completely focused toward a career in music, Gerard says he wants to inspire people with his voice and bring lost souls to Christ.

Georgia Beck, a piano teacher from Fuquay-Varina. Georgia is the fifth generation to live in an old schoolhouse on her family farm. She says she gets a Latin influence from her Colombian mother – she loves to speak Spanish, dance salsa and meringue. Georgia says she’s a mountain girl, and when she’s not at the piano, you can find her horseback riding, rock climbing, backpacking and doing photography. |
Jonathan Wood, a chemical engineer from Durham. Jonathan says the first time he sang in public was in college at an open mike contest, and credits his college roommate as the inspiration for getting a band together. He loves outdoor sports: flag football, wakeboarding, snowboarding, basketball and softball, and says (though you’d never guess from his job title) his real passion is surfing.
