Applications for this year’s WRAL Azalea Celebration competition are now being accepted from non-profit organizations. The deadline for applications is September 9, 2006 and the winners will receive their plants on October 21, 2006.

This is the 21st year of the WRAL Azalea Celebration and 10,000 plants will be given to non-profit groups. Those plants will help WRAL and Capitol Broadcasting Company top the 200,000 mark in the number of plants given away in the WRAL Azalea Celebration over the past two decades.
