Celebrate the Season with WRAL’s 47th Annual Tower Lighting

A WRAL holiday tradition continues this year as the station’s 300-foot TV tower is transformed into a 300-foot Christmas tree! Join WRAL’s David Crabtree, Debra Morgan, Gerald Owens and Pam Saulsby for the 47th annual tower lighting. The live 30-minute special airs Friday, December 1 at 7:30pm on WRAL and WRAL.com.
A talented array of musical guests will perform during the special. Performance Edge, a local organization dedicated to training young performers, will bring 20 singers to the festivities. Also, former WRAL employee Waltye Rasulala will sing, accompanied by a guitarist.

Located at the WRAL-TV Studios on Western Boulevard in Raleigh, the 2,805 lights adorning the tower can be seen for miles through New Year’s Day.
