Fans showed up at the Durham Bulls Athletic Part en masse on Saturday, March 3, 2007, for the 2007 Fan Fest. Wool E. Bull greeted baseball go’ers as fans who purchased game tickets got free ballpark food.
All attendees got a chance to swing a bat to win a sports car, trying to hit the illusive big bull in left field. Fans also got a chance to see themselves on the big screen as the Bulls filmed segments for the home opener.
And fans saw all of the ongoing construction at the ballpark first hand. A new public picnic area and a new video screen which will be 3 times larger than the current one are being installed. Construction will be finished by the home & season opener on Thursday, April 5th.
