Sergio from General Building Maintenance at ATC delivers collected food to the truck for delivery to the Durham Rescue Mission. |
Recently, the Durham Rescue Mission’s food pantry caught fire destroying most of its supply of canned and boxed food. Being in urgent need of food donations, American Tobacco Campus sponsored a week long “Replenish the Pantry” Food Drive. Collection barrels were placed in several American Tobacco Campus lobbies including Crowe, Strickland, the Durham Bulls and FOX 50.
A truck load of food donations was collected from tenants and taken to this Rescue Mission and included non-perishable food items such as canned vegetables, soups and meats, jars of peanut butter and jelly, packages of grits, oatmeal, noodles, rice and pancake mix.
