Former Explorer Post 50 Student Hired by ESPN

The Durham Bulls recently announced former Explorer Post 50 member and student producer Bob Grissom has been hired to work in master control at ESPN, the leading multinational, multimedia sports entertainment company in the world. The Jordan High School graduate becomes the second alumnus of Explorer Post 50 to join ESPN within the last year.
“It has been a life goal to work for ESPN at some point in my life and that goal has come true,” Grissom said, “All of the years I put in getting experience with Post 50 has now paid off. I really do owe the Bulls and Post 50 a big thank you for helping me work up to my goal.”
Grissom joins Enloe High graduate Robin Segreti, who joined ESPN Regional in 2007. Segreti served as student producer for Explorer Post 50 in 2004 and then joined North Carolina State Football video staff.
Explorer Post 50 is a youth based television broadcasting program that provides students, ages 14-20, with an invaluable opportunity to gain exceptional experience in the field of television and sports broadcasting by serving as the broadcast team for the Durham Bulls.
All Explorer Post 50 members have the opportunity to learn, camera operation, directing, producing, audio board operation and more.
