DBAP To Host Great Human Race Kickoff on Saturday

Runners will take off on The Great Human Race from the DBAP on Saturday.

The Great Human Race, a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations, will once again start at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 9:30am. The Triangle area race features a 5k competitive run and a 5k community walk through downtown Durham.

The event provides an opportunity for any nonprofit agency, school or faith based group to raise money for their programs and enables businesses and individuals to support the nonprofit of their choice. Participating nonprofit organizations receive 85% of monies collected and the Volunteer Center of Durham receives the remaining percentage to coordinate and stage the event.
