Once again Sunrise Broadcasting held their annual 50 Hour Food Drive in Benefit of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. It was held at Lowes Food located at 341 South College Road, Wilmington, NC.
The 50 Hour Food Drive was big success this year, and Sunrise would like to thank everyone who came out to help us raise food for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Sunrise of course wanted to full the truck provided by Two Men and A Truck, but set a goal, which we hoped to surpass, at 5000 pounds. Sunrise is very pleased to announce that we raised a total of 9,230 pounds of food. In addition Sunrise also raised $2,037.73 in cash donations and $300 in our virtual food drives on our websites.
Thanks to the help and support from everyone that came out we are providing a total of 17,690 meals to at risk families in our four county area.
Thank you all for making this year a success!!
Big thanks to our sponsors: Two Men and A Truck, Lowes Food, Pepsi, State Farm, Alpha Graphics and Jackson’s Big Oak BBQ
Thanks to Sunrise Broadcasting’s Tabitha Elger for this capcom story.
