This Marine shows off one of many donations generous sponsors & Wolfpack fans made to the Toys for the Tots at the Nove 13th game. |
In three short years, this partnership between NC State Football, Coca Cola and Harris Teeter has raised over $125,000 in cash donations for the Toys for the Tots program. These contributions have been used to purchase toys for children in need in the Triangle area.
Now in its fourth season, the program is poised to eclipse the $150,000 mark when contributions are from this season.
Coca-Cola donated $500 for each TD scored by the team through the Toys for Tots game on Nov 13, 2010. Coca-Cola has already donated over $20,000 through this program this season, which brings the cumulative donation total to more than $143,000.
Contributions from fans at the NC State vs. Wake Forest game on Saturday, Nov 13th easily pushed the total past the $150,000 mark. Fans donated a record $23,500 in cash and more toys than have ever.
