DBAP to Serve as Donation Center for Storm Victims Bulls Will Hand Out Complimentary Tickets for Wednesday’s Game to Donors |
The Durham Bulls has announced further efforts to help the North Carolinians affected by the severe storms that tore through the state on Saturday. The Bulls will serve as a collection site for food and clothing on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, from 9 AM until 1 PM to be donated to the Salvation Army’s efforts with the victims. Anyone who brings in a bag of clothes or five cans of food will receive a complimentary ticket to the Bulls’ 1 PM game against the Charlotte Knights.
“As more details of this tragedy unfold we are compelled to do whatever we can to help,” Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said. “Hopefully this will be a good incentive to get people to donate.”
Food and clothing can be dropped off at the Durham Bulls front office on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, beginning at 9 AM. For more information, contact the Durham Bulls at (919) 956-BULL.
