WJZY’s Cyndal Russell (left) & WJZY’s Bethany Watkins help collect Coats for the Kids at CBC’s Charlotte stations. |
The 9th Annual CW46 and My TV12 Coats for Kids with The Salvation Army is in full swing! Collections started in late November and will continue until December 31st.
Kiss 95.1 and their morning show “The O Show with Otis and Brittney” has partnered with CBC’s Charlotte stations again this year to help warm the lives of those in need this holiday season as we collect new or gently used coats for The Salvation Army.
Barrels have been placed throughout the Charlotte area at sponsor locations including all local Hendrick Automotive Dealerships, Quail Drycleaning locations and Artisan Signs and Graphics.
Quail Drycleaning will clean the coats and the Salvation Army will sort and distribute them. CW46 and My TV12 will also plan a mid-winter relief in January to hand out more coats at one of our Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs.
Many locations have already had pick-ups due to overflowing barrels! In our own lobby we caught outgoing Account Executive Cyndal Russell and new Account Executive Bethany Watkins donating to the barrel.
Thanks Ladies and thanks to all those who have contributed so far! Keep those coats coming!
Thanks to WJZY’s Angela Golden for this capcom story & photo.
