Parade of Playhomes Fundraiser at American Tobacco Until May 6th Help Prevent Child Abuse |
Every five minutes in North Carolina, a child is abused. This is a staggering statistic, and the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties (HBADOC) is proud to say that they are doing their part to help. American Tobacco is pitching in to do their part, too.
For the past 20 years, HBADOC has been raising funds to support child abuse prevention programs in the Triangle. Each year, three of their Member Builders each build a custom playhome that is raffled off and 100% of the proceeds are donated to local organizations that help prevent child abuse.
Two of the playhomes are currently on display at American Tobacco through May 6, 2012.
The playhomes will be raffled. Tickets are $3 each, or $5 for two. Stop by American Tobacco and see the playhomes in person, or see them online here. A third is being auctioned on ebay.
Builders FirstSource, Saussy Burbank, and The Professional Remodelers Council of the HBADOC each built one of these playhomes.
Find more information, see pictures, or purchase raffle tickets here.
100% of the proceeds of the Parade of Playhomes will be donated to the following organizations that work to prevent child abuse in our community: Exchange Family Center of Durham, Chatham County Partnership for Children, and Hillsborough Exchange Center.
*Delivery: Playhomes will be delivered free of charge to all winners within a 20 mile radius of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties, North Carolina. Arrangements will need to be made for delivery to other locations and may involve a delivery fee.
Thanks to the HBADOC for contributions to this capcom story.
