Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc. presents the first Coors Light Fantasy Football Camp and Triangle Fantasy Football Championships on August 23, 2012, at 7pm at the PNC arena in Raleigh.
This event is the first of its kind in the Triangle giving Fantasy Football players the opportunity to prepare their league by attending a question and answer session with one of the country’s top fantasy football experts. ESPN’s “The Football Scientist” K.C. Joyner will join college and NFL standout Terrance Holt and his brother, future hall of famer Tory Holt to share their knowledge before the draft.
Attendees will also receive a team in “The Coors Light Triangle Fantasy Football Championship.” This special Fantasy Football League features a grand prize of five thousand dollars to the winner.
The draft for “The Coors Light Triangle Fantasy Football Championship” will take place immediately following the question and answer session. All contestants will be put in 12 team leagues, with league champions squaring off in a total points challenge to compete for the grand prize. (Contestants can choose to be grouped in leagues with friends.) Entire 12 team leagues that wish to enter The Coors Light Fantasy Football Championship may also do so.
The $40 dollar entry fee gets participants an invitation to our draft lottery event on August 22, admittance to “The Coors Light Fantasy Football Camp” at PNC Arena which includes the question and answer session, a buffet dinner, cash bar, displays and giveaways from local businesses, and an appearance by the Carolina Panthers “Top Cats” cheerleaders. The entry fee also includes a team in “The Coors Light Triangle Fantasy Football Championships” with the five thousand dollar grand prize.
Jason Dixon, Program Director and Operations Manager for 99.9 The Fan and 620 The Buzz said, “This is going to be the ultimate night of fun for a Fantasy Football enthusiast. It’s worth the price of admission just to prep for your draft by hearing from ‘The Football Scientist,’ but then you also get a team in a league with a five thousand dollar grand prize.” Dixon continued, “We’ve partnered with Head2Head Sports, one of the premier fantasy sports companies, to run The Coors Light Triangle Fantasy Football Championships. They’ve run similar leagues all around the country and I am glad we could bring this opportunity to the Triangle.”
Stacie Stern, General Manager of Head2Head Sports agrees, saying “Head2Head Sports is proud to partner with The Fan to bring our live event to the Raleigh/Durham area. The Draft offers camaraderie, expert advice, competition and the chance to win a $5,000 Grand Prize. If you’re an NFL football fan, there’s nowhere else you’d rather be on August 23rd.”
