Don’t miss the pageantry and excitement of the 2012 WRAL-TV Raleigh Christmas Parade, presented by the Shop Local Raleigh, this Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.
Watch the parade live on WRAL-TV and streamed live on WRAL.com. Catch replays of the parade at 1 p.m. the first four Saturdays in December on WRAL2, plus a special holiday presentation on WRAL-TV at 4 p.m. on Christmas Day.
WRAL-TV morning news personalities Bill Leslie and Kelcey Carlson will host the television broadcast, and Brian Shrader will report from street-side with the participants and spectators.

Now in its 68th year, the parade will feature over 115 entries, including fantastic floats, super-sized balloons, marching bands, entertainers, animals, specialty vehicles, plus many holiday surprises.
“American Idol” participant and North Carolina native Emily Minor will be the grand marshal.
The parade route is 1.2 miles long, starting at the corner of Hillsborough and St. Mary’s Street. The parade travels east on Hillsborough Street, turns south at the Capitol on Salisbury Street, east on Morgan and then makes a final turn down Fayetteville Street.
It’s the largest Christmas parade between Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
The WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade is presented by Shop Local Raleigh. Sponsors include Crabtree Valley Mall, Time Warner Cable & Wake Med.
