WRAL-TV’s 24th Coats for the Children Telethon takes place today, Friday, December 14th. |
Each year WRAL-TV dedicates airtime to helping keep Triangle children in need warm. The 24th Annual Coats for the Children Telethon hits the airwaves today, Friday, December 14, 2012. Every dollar raised benefits the Salvation Army.
Through the telethon today, WRAL is raising money to buy new winter clothing for children in need. We have some great “thank you” gifts when you call to make a donation.
Don’t miss WRAL’s 1pm and 7pm Telethon specials. We’ll have fun together while making it a much warmer winter for children in need.
The day will be filled with special incentives for making pledges of certain amounts. You could earn an autographed copy of Bill Leslie’s latest Christmas album, an in-studio experience with Bill & Lynda In the Morning on MIX 101.5, a WRAL WeatherCenter tour with Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, make a Local Dish with Brian Shrader, get tickets to the Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol, Hill Ridge Farms’ Festival of Lights and much more!
From 6am to 8pm, every donor receives a Jiffy Lube booklet with coupons valued at $150!
For the 24th year, WRAL is collecting coats and other winter clothing for Salvation Army children in need and we are off to a good start. Viewers can donate gently-used coats, hats, scarves and mittens. Also donate new toys and make a child’s holiday even brighter.
Visit WRAL.com and search ‘Coats’ for a list of drop-off locations and to make a financial contribution. Or text ‘Coats’ to 85944 and donate ten dollars right now!
Numbers to call today during the telethon are:
