Purchase the “Wil He, Won’t He?” 3 Game Pack! Package Buyers Will Get Free Additional Game If Top Prospect Wil Myers Does Not Start Season In Durham |
The Durham Bulls recently unveiled a new ticket package in response to the blockbuster trade which sent Minor League Player of the Year Wil Myers and other Kansas City Royals prospects to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for former Bulls pitchers James Shields and Wade Davis.
The “Wil He, Won’t He?” Pack consists of three big Bulls games, including Opening Day on April 8th and July 4th, and an added incentive for fans should Myers skip Durham and make the Major League roster out of Spring Training. If he does not start the season with the Bulls, ticket package buyers will receive an additional game for free.
Myers, 22, split the 2012 season between Double-A and Triple-A and finished second in all of Minor League Baseball with 37 home runs. The Thomasville, NC native has hit .303 with 64 home runs, 259 RBI, a .395 on-base percentage and .522 slugging percentage over four minor league seasons after being selected in the third round of the 2009 June Draft by Kansas City.
He finished the season as MLB.com’s No. 3 rated prospect in the country after being named 2012 Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball America, USA Today, and Topps/Minor League Baseball.
The “Wil He, Won’t He?” Pack includes tickets to Opening Day on April 8th, July 4th and Fan Appreciation Day on August 24th for just $24. Package purchasers will be given a voucher for an additional game of their choice should Myers not start the season with the Bulls, Tampa Bay’s Triple-A affiliate.
“This ticket package is truly a win-win for our fans,” said Bulls General Manager Mike Birling. “Either we start the season with one of the most exciting, can’t miss prospects in all of baseball or folks will get another game added to their package at no extra cost.”
