MIX 101.5’s Radiothon Starts Today

MIX 101.5 invites you to listen with your heart during their 19th annual MIX Radiothon for the Kids at Duke which starts today, Tues, Feb 12th and runs through tomorrow, Wed, Feb 13th. The 2013 Radiothon is raising funds to support Duke Children’s Hospital.
Broadcasting live from the McGovern-Davison Children’s Health Center, Bill Jordan & Lynda Loveland will kick things off at 6am, and a host of other MIX personalities, patient’s families, pediatricians and special friends will be on the air from 6am to 6pm both days.
There are a variety of easy ways to help:

CALL IN TO WIN BIG DURING RADIOTHON
Listeners who tune in during Radiothon will hear about special perks and incentives exclusive to donors who call in to pledge by phone. Hear from Duke Athletics during the following air times:
- Coach K — February 12 at 8:00 am
- Coach P — February 12 at 9:00 am
- Coach Cut — February 13 at 6:15 am
GIGI’S CARING CUPCAKE
Gigi’s Cupcakes of Brier Creek cares for kids! All through February, this Gigi’s Cupcakes location and The Bouncing Ball Gift Shop at Duke Children’s will have The Caring Cupcake on sale. Helping the kids is so sweet!

FANTASTIC SAM’S CUT-A-THON
Fantastic Sam’s Hair Salons are clipping up a fantastic contribution to benefit Duke Children’s. Visit any Fantastic Sam’s in eastern North Carolina on Saturday, February 9 for the Fantastic Sam’s Cut-A-Thon. Each Fantastic Sam’s will donate $2 of each haircut to Radiothon. Get your hair cut for a great cause!

MAKE IT COUNT
Collect loose change, dollar bills and donations of any shape or size for the Coins for Kids fund-raiser. Donations of any amount make a difference. Bring your donation to Radiothon’s Piggy Bank Day on Wednesday, February 13 from 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM to have your coins counted in the coin machine. Learn more about Coins for Kids and Piggy Bank Day.
BAILEY’S FREE WATCH BATTERY
Bailey’s Fine Jewelry is taking the time to care for kids. Bailey’s is offering a free watch battery replacement through the month of February.
