The new Center Stage American Tobacco concert series is back for another engagement. Formerly known as Music on the Lawn, the music series in Downtown Durham is bigger and better than ever! This Friday, September 20, 2013, Dave Alvin & The Guilty Ones with Aoife O’Donovan will entertain the crowds on the lawn in front of the DPAC.
American Tobacco and WUNC’s Back Porch Music Series are bringing this legendary songwriter and performer to Durham. Dave Alvin is known for his rich songwriting and work with the bands X and The Blasters. He shares the bill with rising star Aoife O’Donovan. She’s a frequent guest on A Prairie Home Companion. Her debut record came out in June. Both artists record for Yep Roc records – one of the hot independent labels in North Carolina.

The music begins at 6pm and runs through 9pm.
