American Tobacco Celebrates Grand Opening of The Ice Factory

Come Skate Through January 20th

The Ice Factory at American Tobacco

The Ice Factory at American Tobacco has transformed the basketball court at The Cage into an ice rink.

American Tobacco recently held a VIP celebration to open the brand new ice rink, The Ice Factory at The Cage. Figure skaters regaled guests at the event on Thursday, November 14, 2013, with Wool E. Bull, Stormy and members of the Storm Squad on hand to christen the first-ever American Tobacco skating space.

The Ice Factory, sponsored by the Carolina Hurricanes, opened to rave reviews on Friday, November 14. Other sponsors included WRAL-TV, FOX50 and Massage Envy Spa.

A special skating performance by members of the Hillsborough Skate Club opened the event and inspired attendees to strap on their skates and attempt a figure eight! Other wintry fun included a snowflake light show, a DJ, and ice rink antics with Stormy and Wool E Bull.

A show stopping ice sculpture of the event logo was the centerpiece for the buffet of wintry appetizers. Catering Works took the frost of the skaters by providing a hot cocoa bar complete with s ’mores. Skate on over to the Ice Factory…NOW through January 20!
