CBC Plants Pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention

Pinwheels for PreventionCapitol Broadcasting Company is helping raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month in both Durham and Raleigh by planting pinwheel gardens.  CBC’ers helped plant pinwheels at American Tobacco and at CBC’s headquarters on Western Blvd in early April 2014.

The pinwheel is the symbol of child abuse prevention, representing community efforts to provide children with the safe and healthy relationships they need to thrive.

CBC first planted pinwheels in Durham two years ago and extended the planting to our Western Blvd location last year.

FOX 50 Vice President & General Manager Tommy Schenck is a long-time board member for Prevent Child Abuse NC and headed up the pinwheel planting at CBC.
