The United States Department of State and the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) continues to make WRAL one the places to visit while in the Triangle.   Recently a dignitary from Thailand stopped by the station during her tour in the U.S.

These foreign visitors though the Dept of State and IVLP are leaders in various career fields and will often become leaders in their prospective governments. This is why our government seeks to expose them to American industries, legislative bodies and educational institutions.

Dr. Siraporn Srisuwan has visited New York, Washington, the Triangle and will be in Minnesota and Los Angeles before returning home to Thailand. Dr. Srisuwan holds two Ph.D.’s and is fluent in four languages and is on track to become a national leader in her country.

She met with WRAL-TV Vice President & General Manager Steve Hammel to discuss the media interactions with business, community and government.

Thanks to WRAL-TV’s Clarence Williams for this capcom story.
