Former ECU and NFL coach, Steve Logan pairs up with WRAL-TV Sports Anchor Jeff Gravley for a new show on WRAL-TV this fall. Logan and Gravley break down all of the Triangle football action for a half-hour show on Sunday mornings. The Logan Zone kicked off Sunday, September 7 at 11:30am and will run through the end of college football season.
“After listening to Steve Logan on 99.9 The Fan, listening to his analysis during our newscasts and watching on wralsportsfan.com what the Coach does with ‘Coaching 101,’ I thought we could utilize his expertise, skill and passion on WRAL-TV,” said WRAL-TV Vice President & General Manager Steve Hammel. “We felt we had a perfect time period right before The NFL Today at Noon to have a great show hosted by Jeff Gravley with a super heavy dose of Steve Logan’s great communication skills about football.”
Logan didn’t hold back on his first program:
“The Logan Zone is a football program like nothing any other station in our market can do,” said WRAL-TV Director of News Operations/Sports/Special Projects Leesa Moore. “We have the best photojournalists in the state covering the local teams and big games. Combine that with the substantial experience and knowledge of Jeff Gravley and Coach Logan and you have a live half-hour that will inform, enlighten, and entertain.”
Logan coached the ECU Pirates football team for a decade, becoming the school’s all-time winningest coach with a 69-58 overall record. He was inducted into the ECU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013. He has also coached in both high school and professional football. He joined the CBC Sports Radio line-up on both 99.9 The Fan and 620 The Buzz in the fall of 2012.
Tune in on WRAL-TV this Sunday at 11:30am for the latest edition of The Logan Zone.
