This Day in NC HistoryDid you know that each day the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources blogs about an event on that day in history?  Recently This Day in North Carolina History featured the American Tobacco Campus.  On June 24, 2004, GlaxoSmithKline became the first tenant to move into the then-newly renovated campus. So on June 24, 2015, the blog harkened back to that significant event.

The blog credits American Tobacco’s renaissance with the turnaround of the Bull City.

“The $200 million project helped jumpstart the revitalization of downtown Durham,” reads the entry.
