Kids Run the Bases, Labor Day Contest Highlight Season’s Final Two Games
The Durham Bulls conclude the 2016 regular season with a two-game series against the Norfolk Tides at the DBAP on Sunday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 5. Postgame Kids Run the Bases and a Labor Day afternoon contest highlight the promotional schedule.
The team’s Final Five Pack promotion is still in effect for the season’s final two contests, as fans can purchase five tickets, five hot dogs and five sodas for just $55. The offer is available online by clicking here and using the promo code FINAL5, and is also available in-person at the Frontier Communications Ticket Office by mentioning the Final Five Pack.
The season’s penultimate game will take place at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, presented by bioMérieux. The contest against the Norfolk Tides will be immediately followed by Kids Run the Bases, presented by Nature’s Twist, as for the final time in 2016 kids get to show off their speed around the DBAP infield. At the conclusion of Kids Run the Bases, the DBAP will host an advanced screening of FOX’s new television series ‘Pitch,’ which does not debut on network television until Sept. 22.
The 2016 regular season comes to a close on Monday, Sept. 5 at 1:05 p.m. against the Baltimore Orioles’ Triple-A affiliate. The Bulls will once again pull out all the stops for the season’s last game, with a skit by Wool E. Bull, a Diamond Cutters performance and one final lap by Wool E. Bull’s go kart.

Durham Bulls Announce 2017 Home Schedule
21 Fireworks Extravaganzas Highlight Bulls’ 2017 DBAP Slate
The Durham Bulls recently announced their home schedule for the 2017 International League season. The team will open its 71-game home slate on Monday, April 10 against the Charlotte Knights, and conclude the DBAP schedule on Sunday, Aug. 27 against the Norfolk Tides.
Prior to the regular season kicking off, the Bulls will take on the Duke Blue Devils in an exhibition game on Tuesday, April 4 at the DBAP. The two teams that call the stadium home will meet in what will be a preseason contest for the Bulls, and a midseason scrimmage for the Blue Devils.
The Bulls will kick off their home regular season schedule at 6:05 p.m. on April 10 with a postgame fireworks show. Additionally the team will once again host a home game on the Fourth of July, while also hosting holiday games on Easter (April 16) and Mother’s Day (May 14). The Pawtucket Red Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, visit for a weekend series from June 2-4, while the New York Yankees’ top affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders also come to Durham for a weekend set from Aug. 10-13. The 2017 schedule features 11 Friday, Saturday and Sunday contests, with 21 fireworks shows to follow Bulls games.
The ACC Baseball Championship will return to Downtown Durham in 2017 for the third year of a four-year residency. While the Bulls are away for a seven-game road trip, some of college baseball’s best teams will battle for conference supremacy at the DBAP from May 23-28.
After a one-year absence, USA Baseball will also return to the DBAP next year. Some of the nation’s best collegiate baseball players from around the country will take center stage in the Bull City on July 1 and 3, with an additional fireworks show scheduled on July 3 to kick off back-to-back fireworks nights during Independence Week.
