DBAP to Feature Five Fireworks Shows Over Season’s Final Seven Home Contests

Bulls Final 2017 HomestandThe first-place Durham Bulls will host their final homestand of the 2017 regular season against the Gwinnett Braves and Norfolk Tides, when they open a seven-game stretch on Monday, August 21. The team will mark the occasion with an End of Summer Blowout Celebration, as fireworks shows will follow five of the homestand’s seven contests.

With only seven regular season games remaining, the Bulls will end the home schedule with a bang, adding three fireworks extravaganzas to the existing lineup. Fireworks will follow the games on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, bringing the season’s final total to 23 shows. In addition, the homestand will feature $2 Taco Tuesday, Trucks, Beats & Brews, $1 Concessions and a Meet the Team event.

2017’s final regular season homestand opens on Monday, August 21 at 7:05 p.m. against the Gwinnett Braves, with the evening’s contest presented by Great Clips. The series continues on Tuesday, August 22 at 7:05 p.m., with $2 Taco Tuesday, as tacos are just $2 all night long at the DBAP.

Durham and Gwinnett continue their four-game set on Wednesday, August 23 at 7:05 p.m. Gates for that night’s game, presented by Foothills Brewing, open at 5 p.m., as the Diamond View concourse will be packed with local food trucks and craft beer stands for the season’s final Trucks, Beats & Brews event.

On Thursday, August 24 the Bulls close their set with the Atlanta Braves’ Triple-A affiliate with $1 Concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda and popcorn is just a buck all night long. Additionally, the 7:05 p.m. contest, presented by Bronto, will feature The Instagrammys as the team celebrates the season with the best fan photos from 2017.

The seven-game homestand continues on Friday, August 25 when the Bulls open a three-game set against the Norfolk Tides at 7:05 p.m., presented by Hillandale Golf Course. Following the game will be the season’s penultimate Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux, while Friday is also Veterinarian Appreciation Night, offering a special package that includes both a game ticket and Durham Bulls scrubs.

The Bulls and Baltimore Orioles’ top affiliate battle once more on Saturday, August 26 at 6:35 p.m. After the game, presented by MercuryGate International, will be the regular season’s final fireworks spectacular, presented by JT’s Landscaping.

The team’s regular season home schedule comes to a close on Sunday, August 27 at 5:05 p.m., presented by Amica Insurance. Prior to the contest will be a Meet the Team event presented by the FOX 50 Fall lineup, as fans can take pictures, get autographs and play games with players and coaches. Gates for the game will open at 3 p.m., and players will be available on the field from 3-3:45 p.m. Additionally, following the contest children get to show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature’s Twist. Following Kids Run the Bases, FOX 50 will drop 3,000 squishy baseballs onto the field, as fans will have the chance to win one of three great prizes from designated squishy balls.

The first-place Durham Bulls return to the DBAP for their final homestand of the regular season on Monday, August 21. Single-game tickets and group ticket packages for the 2017 season are on-sale now at durhambulls.com, the Frontier Communications Ticket Office or by calling 919.956.BULL.
