Durham Bulls Governors Cup Finals 2017When the Durham Bulls host Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Tuesday and Wednesday in the opening games of the Governors’ Cup Finals, the sure winners are those suffering after hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

The Bulls will donate $1 from every ticket sold to hurricane relief efforts. The team also will donate parking proceeds.

The $15 entry fee includes a seat and an all-you-can-eat concessions menu consisting of Bright Leaf hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, nachos and cheese, pretzels, popcorn and Pepsi products.

Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-five championship series begin Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Durham Bulls Athletic Park at 6:35 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for both contests.

Games 3 and, if necessary, 4 and 5 will be played at PNC Field on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The two teams have a history in Governors’ Cup play. In 2008, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre beat the Bulls 3-1 to capture the title. The Bulls returned the favor with a 3-0 sweep of the RailRiders in 2009.
