$1 Concessions, Hispanic Heritage Night, $2 Taco Tuesday, Two Fireworks Shows Also on Schedule
The Durham Bulls will host a six-day, seven-game homestand beginning on August 7 against the Columbus Clippers and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. $1 Concessions, Hispanic Heritage Night and two fireworks shows highlight the promotional schedule.
The homestand opens on Tuesday, August 7 at 6:05 p.m. against the Columbus Clippers. Tuesday will feature a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games with gates opening at 5:30 p.m., and the Bulls serving as the home team in Game One and serving as the away team in Game Two. Tuesday is $2 Taco Tuesday, meaning fans get 14 innings of $2 tacos around the DBAP, and fans can also purchase the Durham Bulls Pints Pack, entitling fans to a ticket to the game and two beers for $20.
On Wednesday, August 8 the Bulls and Cleveland Indians’ top affiliate square off at 7:05 p.m. That evening is Bring a Book Night presented by Amundi Pioneer, as any fan who donates a new or lightly used children’s book will receive a buy one, get one free ticket deal.
The three-day, four-game series comes to a close on Thursday, August 9 at 7:05 p.m. with the team’s final Hispanic Heritage Night of 2018. The Bulls will once again transform into the Toros de Durham for the evening, complete with special jerseys and hats, dance performances, food items and more. Beginning on August 8 and running through 9 p.m. on August 9, the Toros jerseys will be auctioned off, with all proceeds benefiting El Centro Hispano.
Additionally, Thursday’s game is the penultimate $1 Concessions night of the season, with Bright Leaf hot dogs, popcorn and soda costing just $1 all night long.
On Friday, August 10 the Bulls welcome the New York Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, to the DBAP for a three-game set in a rematch of the 2017 Governors’ Cup Finals. The 7:05 p.m. contest, presented by EmergeOrtho, is a Food Truck Friday as local food trucks American Meltdown and Bull City Street Food will be on-hand serving their delicacies all game long. Following the game will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux.
The second game of a three-game set against the Yankees’ top farm team continues Saturday, August 11 at 6:35 p.m., presented by the Children’s Research Institute at UNC Health Care. Saturday is also Veterinarian Appreciation Night, as vets can get a Durham Bulls scrub top and ticket to the game for just $9.99 by clicking here. Following the contest a postgame fireworks show will light up Downtown Durham, presented by JT’s Landscaping.
The homestand comes to a close against the RailRiders on Sunday, August 12 at 5:05 p.m. presented by Amica. Sunday’s game is also Football Night, and following the game Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature’s Twist.
