The Durham Bulls return to Durham Bulls Athletic Park for a four-game series against the Norfolk Tides on Thursday, July 11. Stranger Things Night, Touch A Truck and a pair of fireworks shows highlight the promotional schedule.
The homestand opens on Thursday, July 11 as the Bulls host their second annual Stranger Things Night presented by Chiesi. That evening the game will begin at 7:11 p.m., as the team will wear uniforms inspired by the character Eleven from the hit Netflix show. Local food truck Big C Waffles will be in attendance to serve its delicacies throughout the evening, and select concession locations in the ballpark will also offer Chicken and Waffles for the event. Additionally, the team will wear specially-designed jerseys which will be available for auction before and during the game, with proceeds benefiting Children’s Flight of Hope.
As an added bonus Stranger Things Night will also feature the Bulls’ Afforda-BULL Eats menu, as fans can get discounted food options all night long, ranging from $2 hot dogs to $3 pizza slices.
On Friday, July 12 the Bulls take on the Baltimore Orioles’ Triple-A affiliate once again, with the evening’s game presented by Bedlam Vodka. The 7:05 p.m. contest will feature local food truck Bam Pow Chow, and following the contest will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux.
The Bulls and Tides battle once again at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 presented by NC Clean Energy Technology Center. Following the game will be a Saturday Night Fireworks show presented by Window World, and the Bulls will transform into the Durham Tobacconists that evening as the team continues to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City of Durham.
The homestand closes on Sunday, July 14 with the team’s third annual Touch A Truck event, and First Responder Appreciation Night presented by CPI Security. Beginning at 3 p.m. that afternoon, the street immediately outside the ballpark will be lined with vehicles from various agencies, including the Durham Police Department and Durham Fire Department, allowing children of all ages to touch and explore vehicles of their choice. Then at 5:05 p.m. the Bulls and Tides will play their series finale, before children get to show off their speed around the DBAP infield with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature’s Twist following the game.
The Bulls return to the DBAP for a four-game homestand on Thursday, July 11. Single-game tickets and group outings are available now at durhambulls.com, or by calling the Mako Medical Ticket Office at 919.956.BULL.
