Governor Cooper Visits Rocky Mount Mills

NC Governor Roy Cooper at Rocky Mount Mills

NC Governor Roy Cooper toured Rocky Mount Mills on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

Rocky Mount Mills had a great time hosting NC Governor Roy Cooper Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  This was an opportunity for the Governor to see the transformation of Rocky Mount Mills from his last visit in 2017 when he signed a State Proclamation proclaiming April to be NC Beer Month.

The RMM team was excited to walk, talk and share the exciting things happening at Rocky Mount Mills. Corp Senior VP Michael J. Goodmon, Corp President/COO Jimmy Goodmon, RMM Real Estate Manager Evan Covington Chavez, ATC Real Estate Development Manager Matt Honeycutt and RMM General Manager Scott Roberts accompanied the Governor while touring and meeting some of the campus tenants along the way: Books and Beans (coffee shop), The Prime Smokehouse (newest restaurant on campus), Poyner Spruill LLP, HopFly Brewing Company and a stop at River and Twine.

With Rocky Mount being Governor Cooper’s hometown, he ran into old friends along the tour.  The team was excited to welcome him home and share the vision of our past, present, and future of Rocky Mount Mills and CBC.

Thanks to RMM’s Julie Baggett for this Capcom story & for these Capcom photos.
