WRAL-TV Dominates Regional Emmys with 12 Awards

WRAL-TV trounced the competition at the 23rd Annual MidSouth Regional Emmy Awards winning 12 categories, more than any other station in the competition. The ceremony took place in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Saturday, January 24, 2009.
WRAL-TV Specialty Reporter Scott Mason picked up four of the awards on his own.
Country singer-songwriter Hal Ketchum emceed the formal event. WRAL-TV Reporter Sloane Heffernan served as a presenter.
The NATAS Ohio Valley Chapter, which includes Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati, and by the Suncoast Chapter in Florida, judged this year’s entries.
