MIX’s BackPack Buddies Drive Moved to Friday, August 29th

Due to an inclement weather forecast, MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM is moving their BackPack Buddies Food Drive to Friday, August 29th. Same time, same location – just one day later!
Bill & Sheri will kick off the all day food drive at 6am from Cary’s Crossroads Plaza Shopping Center in front of Old Navy. MIX 101.5 will be on-site until 6pm to collect your donations. Collections will continue until 6pm.
MIX listeners are asked to bring non-perishable food items and new backpacks to help the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. For more information about the drive, check out this capcom story
Over 91,000 children in a seven county region rely on free or reduced lunches during the school year. BackPack Buddies provides 6 nutritious meals and 2 snacks to children each weekend who are dependent on these lunches during the week.
