WRAL-TV Anchor/Reporter Pam Saulsby loves jazz, and she loves the Komen Race for the Cure. Saulsby has participated in the Race for years. She’s been sharing her training experience on her blog on WRAL.com, as she prepares to run the Race with Team WRAL. She’s been getting her chops up vocally, too, and now Saulsby has found a way to combine her love for jazz and her passion for finding a cure for breast cancer.
WRAL-TV’s Pam Saulsby will use her golden pipes to drum up support for the Race for the Cure. |
Saulsby will be Singing for the Cure on Registration Wednesday today, May 21, 2008, at American Tobacco in downtown Durham. Saulsby and some of her friends from Team WRAL will be set up on the Crowe Building Patio from noon – 1:30pm.
Saulsby will sing some of her favorite jazz tunes while her colleagues sign up members to walk, run, stroll, or sleep in and fundraise for Team WRAL.
And to sweeten the deal, Team WRAL will have free slices of cake for passersby.
To keep up with Saulsby’s training and her journey to the 2008 Race for the Cure, check out her WRAL.com blog.
The deadline to sign up for the Race for the Cure online is May 27th. So sign up today via the Internet, or come by American Tobacco, see Saulsby and sign up in person.
