WRAL-TV Brings Home Awards from RTNDAC Annual Meeting

The Radio and Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas honored WRAL-TV with multiple awards at the organization’s annual meeting. The presentation took place at a luncheon in Charlotte on Saturday, October 27, 2007.

- Documentary – “Wheels of Fortune” (Clay Johnson & Jay Jennings)
- Health/Medical – “Mr. Diabetes” (WRAL-TV’s Health Team – Dr. Allen Mask & Rick Armstrong)
SECOND PLACE AWARDS
- Political/Election – “Wake County School Board” (WRAL staffers)
- Feature – “Rock, Paper, Scissors” (Scott Mason, Robert Meikle)
WRAL-TV News Director Rick Gall has been elected President of the RTNDAC for the coming year.
The RTNDAC also recently announced the winners of its Dr. John R. Bittner Scholarship for North Carolina & South Carolina for 2007. Matthew McClellan won for South Carolina and Adam Rhew for North Carolina. WRAL-TV provided both of the $1,000 scholarships along with the RTNDAC.
