Ultimate Wild Card Round About to Begin on FOX 50

Things are about to get wild at the AJ Fletcher Opera Theatre. And FOX 50’s Gimme the Mike fans are all invited to join the action. FOX 50 will broadcast the Ultimate Wild Card show, the last show before the big finale, live on Tuesday, May 23, 2006.

The show airs live on FOX 50 at 7:30pm. To catch the action in person, come be a part of the audience at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theatre in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. Doors open at 6:30pm, and no one will be admitted after 7pm.
Viewers have been choosing the Wild Cards each week. The judges chose a winner for the night to advance to the finals. Then viewers had a chance to go online and vote for a Wild Card among the other three contestants of the night. The Wild Cards will compete for one slot in the championship round; and the viewers, not the judges, will pick the Ultimate Wild Card.

Online voting will be open from 8pm until midnight after the Wild Card show down on Tuesday. FOX 50 will announce who the Ultimate Wild Card is LIVE during the season finale Wednesday night. Then that singer becomes the 6th and final contestant. Then the judges return to pick the grand prize winner Wednesday night from the 6 finalists.
The Ultimate Wild Card will go up against the other five finalists in the live finale on Wednesday, March 24th. Tune in to FOX 50 at 7:00pm for the one-hour show to close out the third season of Gimme the Mike! and watch as a winner is determined.

- Show 5 – The winner of the 5th and final Wild Card slot will be announced at the top of the Ultimate Wild Card show.
