NCAB Presents WRAL-FM With “Best of the Best” for Public Service |

North Carolina News Network News Director Ellen Reinhardt won a “Best of the Best” award for Radio in the Public Service category from the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters for her work on an “Internet Predators” story for WRAL-FM.
The “Internet Predators” spots were part of WRAL-FM’s “Community Focus Weekend” on child safety. The story aired in late October or early November of 2002. The parts that won focused on how to keep your child safe from Internet Predators. Reinhardt talked to a detective with the Raleigh police department as well as Raleigh middle school students.
WRAL-FM General Manager Ardie Gregory accepted the award at the NCAB annual meeting in Wrightsville Beach on Monday, July 14, 2003.
WRAL-TV Producer Dan Oliver also won a “Best of the Best” Public Service award for his “Syphilis Elimination” Public Service Announcement (PSA).
