It’s Opening Day! Durham Bulls staffers have been eagerly anticipating Friday, March 31, 2023, for months. Here’s what a few more front office employees are most excited to see in the Bulls Home Opener and the coming season at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park:
Sasha Moore, DBBC Director of Special Events
2nd Season at the Bulls
My favorite thing about Opening Day is the fly over during the National Anthem. It’s epic! Gives me chills!
I am most excited to welcome back our fans and for them to see the first floor renovations – interactive history hallway and the HUGE new store. Also, for fans to try all the new food we will be serving at the ballpark this season. Lots of fun things planned for our fans this year!
Nick Bavin, DBBC Director of Corporate Partnerships
9th Season at the Bulls
Oh boy, Opening Day! It’s the culmination of a lot work from the previous months. Physical and mental! It’s the reason we get in to sports – to see the smiles, the cheering, the memories we are making for thousands of people.
I’m most excited for the new era of Bulls baseball. Covid had a bad effect, and it finally feels like we are coming back with a new staff, new team, new Bulls manager and ready to set records again!
“My favorite thing about Opening Day is getting the opportunity to create memorable moments for fans again. There is something amazing about welcoming back our fans after the off season.”
Eric Topolewski
DBBC Mascot & Community Relations Coordinator
Chrystal Rowe, DBBC Assistant General Manager, Sales & Marketing
1st Season at the Bulls
The anticipation for opening day has been growing for months, and I am excited see fans back in the ballpark for Opening Night to celebrate the Championship and open another amazing Bulls season. The Bulls staff has worked tirelessly to create the best entertainment in the region for all fans and families and we are excited for the season ahead.

2nd Season at the Bulls
My favorite thing about Opening Day is getting the opportunity to create memorable moments for fans again. There is something amazing about welcoming back our fans after the off season. Seeing both new and familiar faces, getting the opportunity to do something special for them, and creating memories that will last a lifetime are all things I hold so dear.
This season I am really excited to get Wool E. back in front of the fans and try new, exciting things. There is something so pure about getting to witness the moments between Wool E. Bull and the fans. I cannot wait to see all the awesome things we do this season!
See what a few more Bulls staffers had to say yesterday:
