Capitol Broadcasting Company is once again on the American Heart Association’s list of Fit-Friendly companies. CBC first received the Gold level designation in 2007 and has stayed on the list ever since.
CBC received news of its 2011 repeat designation in early April.
The AHA uses the Start! Fit-Friendly program to “recognize employers who champion the health of their employees and work to create a culture of physical activity in the workplace.”
CBC won the designation for its health & wellness program Be Active CBC as well as the company’s annual Health Fair, First Responders program and other workplace health initiatives.
The AHA awards the Fit-Friendly designation annually. CBC first achieved the Gold standard last summer in July 2007. The current Fit-Friendly status is good for one year.
