The 19th annual MidSouth Regional Emmy Awards were handed out on Saturday, January 22, 2005, and WRAL-TV and WRAZ-TV (FOX 50) both came home with gold statues.
From nearly 700 entries, judges selected 247 nominees in 60 categories. WRAL-TV received six Emmys and FOX 50 received one.
The Midsouth Regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences made the presentations at a banquet at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. This year’s awards were judged by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter, based in Philadelphia.
