WRAL-FM Receives First Marconi Nomination |
The National Association of Broadcasters has announced the nominations for the 2001 NAB Marconi Radio Awards, and WRAL-FM has made the list for the first time ever.
WRAL-FM/MIX101.5 has been nominated in two categories, Medium Market Station of the Year and Adult Contemporary Station of the Year. As the last major stand-alone station in the Triangle, Adult Contemporary WRAL-FM has continued the 52-year tradition of consistently leading the market in ratings, community service and revenue.
Under the same ownership and format WRAL-FM continues its commitment to its audience and employees. The radio station has raised $4.3 million for Duke Children’s Hospital, has been honored with two Crystal Awards (the latest in 2000), the Peabody Award and the Golden Mike Award. WRAL-FM strives to excel and provide the highest level of service to its listeners and the community. WRAL-FM is privately owned and operated by Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc.
The Awards will be announced in September at the Annual NAB Radio Show in New Orleans.
