MIX Surprises 101 Backstreet Boys Fans

MIX told the first 101 to arrive would receive a variety of prizes.

WRAL-FM made the dreams of 101 Triangle residents come true on Wednesday, June 13th. Bill Jordan and Angela Flynn of the Early Morning Show crew gathered at Crabtree Valley Mall’s promotional court and presented the first 101 arrivals with envelopes containing prizes.

MIX had promised a few tickets to the BSB’s concert that evening would be given out but surprised the crowd by putting a pair of tickets in every envelope. That’s 202 tickets in all!

The crowd had thought most would receive t-shirts, koozies, Backstreet Boys CDs, and that a lucky few would find a pair of ticket to the big show that night.

MIX also attended the BSB concert at the ESA in Raleigh. Afternoon hosts Jim Kelly and Nicci O’Hara broadcast live interviews with the band prior to the concert.

Shocked BSB fans marvel that all 101 envelopes contained tickets.

A throng gathered at the Crabtree Valley Mall.
MIX radio personalities Nicci O’Hara & Jim Kelly interviewed BSB Howie D live on the air before the concert.
