CBC Wins Award for Support of MS Society
Capitol Broadcasting Company recently received recognition for “outstanding support … in the fight against multiple sclerosis.” The Eastern N.C. Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society presented CBC with its Outstanding Corporate Partner Award at the MS Dinner of Champions on Thursday, September 8, 2005. The event took place at the North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh.
The evening honored NC State Women’s Basketball Coach Kay Yow for making a difference, also the theme of the evening. She received the MS Hope Award at the Dinner of Champions. CBC served as presenting sponsor of the event.
The banquet benefited the Eastern N.C. Chapter of the NMSS. The organization serves those with MS and their families as well as funding research to find a cure for the disease.
Bob Bryan, Chapter President of the Eastern N.C. Chapter of the NMSS, made the presentation to CBC.
In 2004, CBC received the MS Employer of the Year from the organization.
