FOX 50’s Tarheel Talk reached a milestone recently in celebrating the 200th episode of the public affairs program. Program Director Joanne Stanley and Program Assistant Corinne Hampton came to Raleigh with cake and sparkling grape juice to highlight the event. (The program is produced in the WRAL-TV studio.)

Tarheel Talk is produced by Sonya Williams-Harris who is no stranger to North Carolinians. She co-hosted WUNC’s statewide program Legislative Week and was a correspondent on North Carolina Now. She continues to produce WUNC’s In The Garden with Bryce Lane.

Williams-Harris explains to the attendees how proud and thrilled she is to work on the show, “I truly believe that Tarheel Talk, provides a voice for the community!”

She stated that she is especially proud of the program receiving the Media Award for two years running from Project Direct for their efforts to prevent and treat diabetes.
