Area seniors can now get a special deal at the Bulls. |
On Monday, February 13, 2006, the Durham Bulls and Humana, Inc . announced plans for the Silver Bulls Club, a ticket package specifically designed for senior citizens in the Triangle.
For just $25, seniors over the age of 50 will receive tickets to games on April 17th, May 24th, June 14th, July 19th, and August 14th. In addition, they’ll receive two giveaway items, a 10 percent discount in the store, and the first 100 members to arrive at each game will get a free hot dog and soda.
“This may be the best bargain we’ve ever offered,” Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said, “Five game tickets, two giveaways, store discounts, a chance to meet players and coaches and the opportunity for a free lunch for only $25. How can you beat that?”
Also at each game, Senior citizens will be selected to participate in the “Field of Dreams”, a promotion allowing fans to take the field with the Bulls for the National Anthem. The “Senior Field of Dreams” debuted last season during Humana’s Senior Day at the ballpark.
