The NC State Fairgrounds will be the place for ladies from April 8-10, as the 26th annual Southern Women’s Show takes over the venue. Both WRAL-FM and WRAL-TV will be at the show, greeting listeners and viewers and hosting some fun of their own.
WRAL-FM kicks off the weekend fun with a presence on Friday, April 8th. On-air talent will meet listeners and sign autographs in the Capitol Broadcasting booth:
Friday, April 9th

WRAL-FM Traffic Supervisor and Asst Morning Show Producer Vanna Fox will host the Cupcake Wars. The live competition starts 11:30am on Friday on the Cooking Stage. Three qualifiers will bring their best cupcake recipes and compete for the Grand Prize, a gift from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry and a $100 gift card to Lowes Foods. WRAL-FM’s Cornerstone Host Jami Caskey will join Fox as a judge of the competition.
WRAL-TV will take over the booth on Saturday & Sunday, Apr 9 & 10. Anchors will meet the public and sign autographs:

WRAL-TV will be recruiting for Team WRAL for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure which takes place in June.
The Southern Women’s Show will be jam-packed with cool jewelry and handbags, make-up tips and tricks, delicious gourmet treats and more. The event includes shopping, runway fashion shows, cooking shows and speakers.
