Photojournalism Art Exhibit on Display at American Tobacco Beyond the Deadlines |
American Tobacco recently unveiled a new art exhibit in the Crowe Building lobby, a collection of photojournalism at its best. “Beyond the Deadlines” features the work of two photographers for The Independent Weekly, D.L. “Derek” Anderson and Jeremy M. Lange.
David Fellerath says the two men “strive to make their pictures interesting and truthful, subtle and aesthetically adventurous.”
The 31 photos come from Anderson & Lange’s work, mostly for the Independent, from the past ten years.
According to Fellerath the exhibition includes “images from Lange’s project of following North Carolian-based military personnel during a decade of war and Anderson’s work with large-format photography.”
American Tobacco joined with the Flanders Gallery of Raleigh to sponsor the exhibit. The photographs will be on display at American Tobacco from August to October 2012.
